The luster of Luxullianite is dull to grainy with sporadic parts pearly and vitreous while that of Rhomb Porphyry is subvitreous to dull. The commercial uses of Luxullianite are creating artwork, curling, gemstone, laboratory bench tops, tombstones and that of Rhomb Porphyry are an oil and gas reservoir, as a feed additive for livestock, metallurgical flux, soil conditioner, source of magnesia (mgo).
