Laterite is a type of sedimentary rock which is generally a reddish weathering product of basalt.

Basaltic Trachandesite is a fine-grained, hard rock that forms when bits of lava shoot out of volcanoes.

Laterite and Basaltic Trachyandesite Formation

Formation of rocks is a long process and hence, Laterite and Basaltic Trachyandesite formation sounds very interesting. The magma is made up of various components of pre-existing rocks which have been subjected to melting either at subduction zones or within the Earth's mantle.
