The luster of Aplite is dull to pearly to subvitreous while that of Norite is not available. Aplite is available in black, grey, orange, pink, white colors whereas Norite is available in dark grey to black colors. The commercial uses of Aplite are curling, gemstone, laboratory bench tops, small sculptures, tombstones and that of Norite are cemetery markers, commemorative tablets, laboratory bench tops, jewelry, sea defence, tombstones.
