Hawaiite belongs to Igneous Rocks while Marl belongs to Sedimentary Rocks.Texture of Hawaiite is Glassy, Massive, Porphyritic, Scoriaceous, Vesicular whereas that of Marl is Earthy. Hawaiite appears Dull and Soft and Marl appears Rough and Dull. The luster of Hawaiite is not available while that of Marl is dull. Hawaiite is available in black, brown, light to dark grey colors whereas Marl is available in beige, brown, green, grey, white colors. The commercial uses of Hawaiite are creating artwork, sea defence and that of Marl are creating artwork, soil conditioner.
