The luster of Granophyre is dull to grainy with sporadic parts pearly and vitreous while that of Carbonatite is subvitreous to dull. Granophyre is available in black, grey, orange, pink, white colors whereas Carbonatite is available in black, brown, colourless, green, grey, pink, white colors. The commercial uses of Granophyre are curling, gemstone, laboratory bench tops, tombstones and that of Carbonatite are an oil and gas reservoir, as a feed additive for livestock, gemstone, metallurgical flux.
