1.1 Formation
ignimbrites sont formés à partir du mélange très mal classés de cendres volcaniques ou tuf et ponce lapilli, communément avec des fragments lithiques dispersés.
Téphrite est, une roche dure à grains fins, qui est un type de metasomatite, basalte altéré. Il forme avec ou sans cristallisation.
