1.1 Formation
diatomite roche formée à partir des restes de squelettes de plantes unicellulaires appelées diatomées. lorsque les diatomées meurent, leurs restes squelettiques coulent au fond des lacs et des océans, etc. donc formant dépôt de diatomite.
ignimbrites sont formés à partir du mélange très mal classés de cendres volcaniques ou tuf et ponce lapilli, communément avec des fragments lithiques dispersés.
