Sovite appears Dull, Banded and Foilated and Theralite appears Veined and Shiny. The luster of Sovite is subvitreous to dull while that of Theralite is waxy and dull. Sovite is available in black, brown, colourless, green, grey, pink, white colors whereas Theralite is available in dark grey to black colors. The commercial uses of Sovite are an oil and gas reservoir, as a feed additive for livestock, creating artwork, gemstone, metallurgical flux, production of lime, soil conditioner, source of magnesia (mgo) and that of Theralite are cemetery markers, commemorative tablets, creating artwork, laboratory bench tops, jewelry, sea defence, tombstones.
