The commercial uses of Granodiorite are curling, gemstone, laboratory bench tops, tombstones and that of Lamprophyre are an oil and gas reservoir, as a feed additive for livestock, gemstone, metallurgical flux, production of lime, soil conditioner, source of magnesia (mgo).
