Picrite Formation
Picrite formation took place millions of years ago. There are a variety of Picrite Uses and the Picrite Reserves are found in many countries around the world. The rocks in the earth’s crust continuously undergo changes in their composition which leads to formation of other rocks. Each rock has a unique formation process. Formation of Picrite is explained below:
- Picrite is a fine-grained, hard rock which is a type of metasomatite, essentially altered basalt. It forms with or without crystallization, either below the surface as intrusive rocks or on the surface as extrusive rocks.
