Basalt Formation
Basalt formation took place millions of years ago. There are a variety of Basalt Uses and the Basalt Reserves are found in many countries around the world. The rocks in the earth’s crust continuously undergo changes in their composition which leads to formation of other rocks. Each rock has a unique formation process. Formation of Basalt is explained below:
- Basalt forms when lava reaches the Earth's surface near an active volcano. The temperature of lava is between 1100 to 1250° C when it gets to the surface.
